Manendragarh. The effect of the memorandum submitted by the ABVP unit, Manendragarh, regarding the indisciplined conduct of the Accounts Supervisor posted in the District Education Officer’s office was seen.

Recently, a video went viral on social media, in which the concerned officer was seen operating a mobile phone while keeping his feet on the table inside the office.

The student council had strongly objected to this incident, calling it against government decorum and work culture, and had demanded immediate action.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the District Education Officer, Office, Manendragarh-Chirimiri-Bharatpur, after investigation, took action against the concerned officer Dinesh Pratap Sharma, Accounts Supervisor, under minor penalty (04) as per the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1966, and stopped his one increment with non-cumulative effect immediately.

Student council officials called it a victory for student interest and discipline and said that the dignity of the school education department will not be compromised in any way. They thanked the district administration and district education administration and said that accountability will be ensured in the future as well.
