UPDATE: After Thulathuli/Nendur encounter, bodies of 31 Naxalites recovered so far, searching continues…

Dantewada/Narayanpur. Anti-Naxal operation is going on in the forests of village Thulathuli of Barsoor police station of Dantewada district and village Nendur of Orchha police station of Narayanpur district. After the joint operation of DRG Dantewada/Narayanpur and STF, bodies of 31 Naxalites have been recovered so far. In view of the situation, additional reinforcement force of CRPF/DRG has been sent. After the encounter is over, the search is now going on. LMG, AK 47, SLR, INSAS 303 rifle and other weapons have been recovered from the spot. Detailed information regarding the encounter has been said to be given separately after the search operation is over.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma met the injured soldier

Here in Raipur last night, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma reached Narayana Hospital to meet the soldier injured in the Naxalite attack. The Deputy Chief Minister inquired about the well being of the injured soldier and also took information about the incident. Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that the Naxal operation that took place in Kanker today is even bigger than that. A large number of AK-47s and SLRs have been recovered. The back of Naxalites is broken in the area. The entire company was destroyed.

Appeal to Naxalites to return to the mainstream

He said that I want to tell the Naxalites that everyone should return home. Chhattisgarh government is coming out with a good surrender policy, everyone returned to the mainstream. Bastar and Bastar’s water, forests and land belong to the people of Bastar. The IEDs lying on the path of development of Bastar should be eliminated now.
