Transparent initiative of the Education Department under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai: Online counseling of promoted principals begins
The posting process of promoted principals will be completely transparent

Raipur, Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, a significant step has been taken by the government of good governance towards making the education system more transparent and organized. Today, online open counseling for promoted principals has started at the Government Education College campus, Shankar Nagar, Raipur. A total of 845 newly promoted principals will participate in this process.
Counseling will be held from August 20 to August 23, 2025, every day from 10 am in the presence and guidance of Director of Public Education Shri Rituraj Raghuvanshi and senior officials of the Education Department. 150-150 principals will be included in two shifts every day. The promotion orders and the list of vacant posts have already been released on the website of the School Education Department, making the selection process completely transparent and smooth.
Priority will be determined on the basis of the rules and seniority set by the government. Divyang candidates will be given top priority, followed by women and then male candidates will get the opportunity to choose institutions in order of seniority. Principals retiring in less than a year will also be given priority.
Waiting halls and counseling rooms have been designated for counseling, where only candidates will be allowed to enter. All promoted principals will have to compulsorily present their service certificates and valid photo identity cards.
Candidates who remain absent in the counseling will be given a chance on the last day, August 23. After the completion of the counseling, posting orders will be issued by the government and everyone will have to join within 7 days of receiving the order.
The government of good governance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has resolved to bring transparency and simplicity in the education department. With this initiative, the process of posting principals has now become fair, transparent and convenient. The location of the vacant posts has already been made public, so that everyone can have their rights and options clearly available.
