Raipur. Voting will be held in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh tomorrow, Tuesday i.e. on 7th May. Due to the Model Code of Conduct, Raipur Police took a large number of actions and arrests before the elections. Along with this, preparations for the May 7 elections have also been completed.
Let us tell you, 18 CAPF companies (CRPF and SSB personnel), 7 Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) companies along with 1995 other police forces, home guards, forest guards, Kotwar will be deployed at the voting booths in Raipur district, who will be on duty from Monday. Have been installed in.
During the code of conduct implemented from March 16, Raipur Police, election teams, CAPF personnel along with 24 flying squad teams, 25 static surveillance teams, and 5 other police checkpoints in the district are continuously checking suspicious persons including all types of vehicles. .
To ensure peaceful voting, 90 patrolling parties and 16 AD parties have also been deployed in all the police station areas since Monday. Five additional superintendents of police and thirteen city superintendents of police/deputy superintendents of police along with two other patrolling parties have been deployed separately in the district.
Strict monitoring on social media
The social media monitoring cell of the police is also keeping a strict vigil on those who share any kind of inflammatory post, comment or content due to the elections. Please note that it is prohibited to carry a mobile phone inside the polling booth on the day of voting. Violating the secrecy of voting is a legal offence, hence if any person shares voting or related photo/video on social media, legal action will be taken against him.
Voting will be held under the surveillance of CCTV cameras
The Election Commission is doing webcasting of a large number of polling stations through CCTV cameras. To conduct the elections peacefully, monitoring is being done with the help of CCTV cameras and civil team. On Monday, officials including Collector Gaurav Singh and SSP Santosh Singh took stock of the arrangements of Strong Room Sejbahar and BTI and after visiting all the booths, they gave necessary instructions.
