According to the data released by the State Election Commission, in the first phase of polling to be held on February 17, the maximum number of voters of the state are 2 lakh 79 thousand 007 in Masturi block of Bilaspur district. After this it is the turn of the Arang block of Raipur, where there are 2 lakh 23 thousand 644 voters. After this, one lakh 88 thousand 496 voters of Mungeli block of Mungeli district and one lakh 62 thousand 844 voters in Durg district of Durg district will exercise their franchise.
In this way, a total of 57 lakh 99 thousand 660 voters will exercise their franchise in the first phase. Out of these, 28 lakh 70 thousand 859 men, 29 lakh 28 thousand 751 women and 50 third gender voters will exercise their franchise. Voting will be held from 7 am to 3 pm. At the same time, voting will be held in Bastar division from 6.45 am to 2 pm.
