    Lakshika Sahu, Raipur. Raipur Lok Sabha candidate Vikas Upadhyay and Congress leader Pankaj Sharma reached the district hospital to meet people suffering from diarrhea in Labhandi. Where to know the well being of the patients and met the concerned doctors and talked about the health benefits of the patients. Also directed several senior doctors and also inquired about the status of medicines used in the treatment of the said disease.

    After this, Raipur Lok Sabha candidate Vikas Upadhyay and MLA Pankaj Sharma went to Sankalp Society located in Labhandi and talked to the family members of the patients. The water level below the ground surface of Labhandi is contaminated. Accusing the state government and the district administration of this negligence, both the leaders said that despite this being suspected in the past, the lives of the common people are being played with by showing such great negligence.

    Congress leaders said, earlier also the issue of contamination of drinking water here has been brought to the notice of the district administration. Regarding this, former MLA Satyanarayan Sharma had passed the proposal for water tank and got the tender done. Besides, a proposal to expand the pipeline was also passed. Since the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state for the past three months, the work on the water tank has been stopped incomplete. Contractor's bills are not being paid. The works of public interest which have been approved by the Congress government, but all those works have been stopped by the present government. There is also a fear that the way profiteering is being seen. Heat will increase in the coming days and the problem of drinking water may increase in the city. Regarding this, Raipur Lok Sabha candidate Vikas Upadhyay along with other leaders will meet the Collector after two days.
