Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Say launched the Swamitva card distribution.
Swamitva cards were distributed in 10 districts of Chhattisgarh in the presence of ministers.
Raipur, January 18, 2025 / In line with the vision and foresight of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the state government has taken firm steps to effectively implement the Swamitva Yojana. The Swamitva Yojana is an effective initiative to empower rural India. The right to property is not limited to the legal ownership of land and other resources, but it provides individuals and communities with the foundation for self-reliance, stability, and a dignified life. This right ensures economic, social, and personal freedom, especially for the vulnerable and deprived sections of our society, therefore, making land records transparent and effective is our priority. Chief Minister Shri Vishnude Dev Say said this while addressing the Swamitva Card distribution ceremony held today in Mahasamund.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Say congratulated all the beneficiaries of the Swamitva cards and said that today 10,850 beneficiaries from 128 villages of Mahasamund district are being given Swamitva cards. He said that the Swamitva Yojana will not only clearly define the ownership of land boundaries, but it will also reduce land-related disputes. Chief Minister Shri Say said that we are using advanced digital technologies in land-related matters, so that high-resolution digital maps can be provided to the gram panchayats. This will help in the construction of better roads, health centers, schools, and other infrastructure, which will accelerate the pace of development. He said that the state government has developed the “Sugam app” to make the registry processes transparent and work is being done on the digitization of documents.
Chief Minister Shri Say said that Chhattisgarh has now received approval for 388,000 new Pradhan Mantri Awas. Also, approval for 400,000 new houses will be received in the future. As soon as our government was formed, approval was given for 1.8 million houses. In the state, the survey work for Awas Plus 2024 has now begun. He said that I am happy to inform you that now those who have 2.5 acres of irrigated or 5 acres of unirrigated land and who have a two-wheeler will also benefit from this.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually joined the nationwide Swamitva card distribution program from Delhi today and provided ownership cards of their occupied land to 6.5 million villagers in 50,000 villages. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi addressed the beneficiaries of the scheme and also interacted with them.
Chief Minister Shri Say invited the people of the state to participate in the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela in the program. He said that a grand pandal has been constructed for the people of Chhattisgarh in a 4.5-acre area under Prayagraj Sector 6 by the state government. Free arrangements for their stay and food have been made here. Chief Minister Shri Say said that paddy procurement will be done till January 31 this year. So far, more than 13.2 million metric tons of paddy have been procured and more than 2.3 million farmers have sold paddy. He said that the difference amount will be provided soon after the paddy procurement.
On this occasion, Revenue and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Tankram Verma congratulated all the beneficiaries and said that the double-engine government is working with complete honesty and dedication. Sabka Saath and Sabka Vikas is not just a slogan but a sentiment, which the state government is working to make meaningful under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Say. He said that the Swamitva card is not just a document, but proof of your rights, self-reliance, and empowerment.
In the program, Member of Parliament Smt. Roopkumari Choudhary said that in Chhattisgarh, there has been an increase in the speed of public welfare works due to the coordination between the central and state governments. The program was also addressed by MLA Shri Yogeshwar Raju Sinha, Shri Sampat Agrawal. Collector Shri Vinay Kumar Langeh said that the survey has been completed in 1073 villages through drone surveys. Through which 10,850 beneficiaries from 128 villages have been
