An FIR has been lodged at Khairagarh police station against the people who entered the district office unauthorized and raised slogans inside the premises and obstructed the government work. The secretary in charge was holding a working meeting of all the departments. During this time, some villagers of village Vicharpur, Pandariya, Sandi suddenly surrounded the Collectorate without any prior notice and started shouting slogans. The villagers had reached the Collectorate to protest against the opening of a cement factory in their area, but the Secretary in-charge in the district office was holding a meeting of all the departments, due to which Collector Chandrakant Verma could not meet the villagers.
Khairagarh SDM Tankeshwar Sahu pacified the protesters and removed them from there, but as soon as the in-charge secretary left the office, all the people again gathered at the main gate of the district office and started deliberately trying to gherao it. The officers present at the spot kept giving advice to the crowd, but the crowd was not seeming to understand. The crowd surrounded the main gate of the office and was continuously raising slogans against the district administration.
Due to the protest by the villagers, everyone including the common man and officers were facing great difficulty in coming to and from the district office. In such a situation, the District Office Superintendent, taking the matter seriously, has lodged a complaint in Khairagarh police station against all the other protesters including Virendra Janghel, Shravan Janghel, Nohar Janghel, Narayan Janghel, Khelan Verma and Pandariya resident Jyoti Janghel for obstructing government work. .
