Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said on this occasion that, fulfilling Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantee, 1.8 million houses have been approved in Chhattisgarh. He said that unprecedented progress has been made in housing and road construction in the state due to the coordination between the central and state governments.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that all eligible beneficiaries in the state are being benefited under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under the PM Janman Yojana, 32,000 houses have been approved, and every village in the state is being connected with paved roads. He said that rural connectivity is being strengthened in Chhattisgarh under road projects spanning 2449 kilometers.
Materials were distributed to rural mason trainees at the event. Gram Panchayats, Janpad Panchayats, and voluntary organizations that performed excellent work were honored. Incentive money and sanitation kits were distributed to beneficiaries of individual toilet construction. Drone Didis and Lakhpati Didis were presented with certificates of appreciation for their work. Ownership certificates were distributed to beneficiaries under the Swamitva Yojana.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel, MLAs Shri Kiran Dev Singh, Shri Lalit Chandrakar, Shri Gajendra Yadav, Shri Domnalal Korsevada, Shri Rakesh Sen, Shri Ishwar Sahu, Shri Deepesh Sahu, and Smt. Bhavana Bohra, along with many other public representatives and a large number of villagers, were present on this occasion.
