Bijapur. On the one hand, the country is moving rapidly towards modern development like 5G network, metro and national highway, on the other hand, the picture of remote villages of Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh still tells the story of plight. Many villages here are still deprived of basic facilities without road and bridge, due to which people have to face huge difficulties in emergency situations.
One such case has come to light from Bunty Para village under Pusanar Panchayat of Gangalur sub -tehsil, where a villager named Lachhu Punem fell from a palm tree and was seriously injured. There is no road to the village and the river flows on the way, on which the bridge has not been built till date. In such a situation, the villagers took the injured youth on foot for about 3 kilometers with the help of Khatia and to the road, so that treatment could be found in time.
The villagers had called 108 ambulance service, but the ambulance could not cross the river due to lack of road and bridge. After this, EMT Ravindra Kumar Jalli and pilot Rajesh Kalsa reached the spot from Bijapur Hospital and brought the patient to the road on foot, from where he was rushed to Bijapur District Hospital through 108 ambulances.
This problem becomes even more serious during the rainy days, because due to the rise in the water level of the river, no vehicle can reach the village. The villagers have demanded that if a small bridge is built on the river, then a paved road will be built in this area and such incidents can be stopped.
The relatives who came with the patient while talking to Lalluram said that we had applied to the leaders who came to seek votes through the sarpanch of the village for the construction of the bridge on the village/house and the bridge over the river. And a few months ago, we went to Bijapur Collector Office and applied to the collector to construct a bridge and road. But till date there is no road and culvert in that village, due to which one has to face many problems during the rainy days.
