    Raipur, November 28, 2025/
Under the special intensive revision campaign running across the state on the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the Narayanpur district is gaining momentum. Under the guidance of the Collector and District Election Officer, administrative teams and BLOs are continuously updating the voter list by reaching remote areas nestled amidst forests and mountains. The goal is that no eligible citizen is deprived of the right to vote.

Currently, a total of 92,637 voters are registered in the district. Digitization of 77.25 percent of the counting sheets has been completed so far. Administrative teams are diligently engaged in adding names of new voters, correcting errors, and removing names of deceased or transferred voters to ensure error-free updates.

Inspiring Story of BLO Samrulal Yadav

A motivating example has emerged from the remote village of Gattakal. BLO Samrulal Yadav of Polling Station No. 09 had to walk miles on hilly trails for the revision work. Many times he had to cross rivers and streams without bridges, yet he continuously reached door-to-door verifying voters.
Out of the 360 voters in this polling station, revision work for 262 has been completed, while the work for the remaining 98 voters is also progressing rapidly. Samrulal Yadav says that difficult paths do not deter him from his resolve to strengthen democracy.

20 BLOs Completed 100 Percent Work

According to the District Election Office, 20 BLOs in the district have completed 100 percent revision work in their respective areas. They are being continuously honored with commendation certificates by Collector Pratishtha for their excellent work.

This continuous effort to connect with voters by reaching remote hilly areas presents a strong example of the district administration’s commitment, transparency, and strengthening of the democratic process.
