The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has made a significant breakthrough in its fight against corruption in Surajpur, Chhattisgarh. On Monday, the ACB apprehended Jugeshwar Rajwade, a clerk at the Surajpur tehsil office, for taking a bribe of 25,000 rupees. The operation was conducted by an ACB team that had arrived from Raipur. The incident took place within the Surajpur tehsil office. The clerk demanded the bribe from a farmer in order to complete the land mutation process. After the farmer reported the incident, the ACB confirmed the allegations and laid a trap. The clerk was arrested immediately after accepting the bribe, and the cash was recovered. Video evidence of the entire operation was gathered to support the case. The ACB is presently interrogating Rajwade and is investigating whether other officials were also involved in the corrupt practice.
