Raipur, March 23, 2025/Electricity has reached the extremely remote village of Timenar in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh for the first time in 77 years of independence under the Chief Minister Majra-Tola Electrification Scheme. This historic achievement is a symbol of breaking through the darkness of Maoist terror and moving towards a new dawn of development, peace, and tranquility.
In Timenar, light has now replaced fear, and hope has replaced terror. One hundred percent electrification has been completed in 53 houses of the village, creating an atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm throughout the village.
Fear and Insecurity Diminishing with the Light of Development
The residents of Timenar, a dependent village of Gram Panchayat Bechapal in Bhairamgarh block, had not seen the light of electricity for generations. Now, as the administration has started reaching these remote areas and extending the benefits of public welfare schemes, the dream of connecting the villagers with the mainstream of society is becoming a reality.
Villagers’ Words – “We are no longer afraid, the light of happiness has spread!”
Villagers Mashram, Pandru Kunjam, Mangli, and Pramila Veko said that electricity has reached the village for the first time, and now they are not afraid of the darkness of the night. They have also been freed from the fear of wild animals, snakes, and scorpions. The children’s education has become easier, and now we too are joining the race for development.”
Villagers say that not only is the atmosphere of terror and fear ending, but the quality of life is also improving.

The government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai is committed to connecting every Majra-Tola in the state with electrification and to flowing the stream of development in Naxal-affected areas.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that where the shadow of Naxal terror was present until yesterday, the rays of development are spreading today. This transformation is the real victory. The electrification in Timenar is a sign of the beginning of a new era of good governance and development in the remote areas of Bastar. Now, this area is moving towards prosperity and light, free from the fear of Maoism.

Along with electrification, basic facilities like roads, health, and education are also being expanded in Timenar.
