Naxalites detonated an IED in Sukma, Chhattisgarh, leading to the death of ASP Akash Rao Giripunje and injuries to several other police officers. The blast took place near Dondra village, where the police were conducting a patrol related to a bandh call issued by the CPI(M). The injured officers were taken to Konta hospital.
