Shivam Mishra, Raipur. Former Chhattisgarh minister Rajesh Munat had a hearing in Raipur court after 7 years in the alleged sex CD scandal case, but the accused did not reach the court. The accused have informed through the lawyer that they will not be able to appear due to elections and other reasons. Now the next hearing will be held on 25 February.
In the alleged sex CD scandal case, the court issued summons to the main accused Kailash Murarka, former CM media advisor Vinod Verma, Bhupesh Baghel, Vijay Pandya, Vijay Bhatia. An accused in this case Rinku Khanuja has died.
Know what is the CD scandal case
The famous pornographic CD scandal started on October 27, 2017 from the bungalow of former CM and PCC President Bhupesh Baghel. Actually, Bhupesh Baghel had a press conference at 6 am on 27 October, in which he distributed a CD to the media. There was an objectionable video in this CD, about which Bhupesh claimed that the person seen in a very objectionable position with the woman is Rajesh Moonat. After which the video became fiercely viral on social media. But after the CD surfaced, Minister Rajesh Munat denied this, calling the CD fake and demanded the then Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh to conduct a high level inquiry into the entire matter.
After the alleged CD surfaced, the Chhattisgarh police took action and arrested senior journalist from Ghaziabad and Vinod Verma, the media advisor to former CM Bhupesh Baghel. In this case, the police claimed that 500 CDs and 2 lakh cash of video clips of this porn CD were seized from their residence. This action was taken on the basis of the complaint of a person named Prakash Bajaj.
