Satyapal Singh Rajput, Raipur. The school education department has suffered a setback from the High Court. Bypassing the order of the department, private schools have been separated from centralized examinations of fifth and eighth. The single bench of High Court Justice BD Guru has given this decision on two other petitions along with Chhattisgarh Private School Management Association.
Waqil Sharad Mishra said that after the decision of the High Court, now the school education department will not take the fifth and eighth examinations in private schools. As usual, private schools will conduct the examination only. Apart from this, private schools who want to appear in the centralized examination can appear.
In fact, in schools recognized by Chhattisgarh Secondary Education Board, parents were petitioned in the High Court with private school against the order of the Education Department to take 5th and 8th examinations from this session.
In the case, the Private School Association said that he had already written to the Education Department that he is teaching children on CG overall and evaluation pattern. Till now, the home exams of these classes used to be held, but at the end of the session, it was said to conduct the fifth and eighth examinations, against which a petition has been filed in the High Court.
Let us know that in 2010-11, the board examination of class V, VIII was abolished. But in view of the impact on the educational quality of the students by closing the board examination, it was decided to take the centralized examination again. After the decision of the state government in this regard, the School Education Department had issued a directive to all the collector and District Education Officer on 3 December 2024 to take centralized examinations of class 5th and 8th.
