A 16-year-old boy was abducted and held for a massive ransom of Rs 1 crore. The investigation revealed that the mastermind behind the entire operation was the victim’s cousin, who used a honeytrap to lure the boy into a vulnerable situation. The police successfully rescued the minor and arrested five individuals involved in the crime. The incident began on April 12, 2026, when the victim’s father, a prominent contractor, filed a missing persons report at the Amleshwar police station. He stated that his son had gone to Tiranga Chowk with his cousin to repair a motorcycle. Shortly after, a car approached them, and the boy was lured into the vehicle. Within an hour, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore.
