A transformation in the general ticket system is underway at Raipur Railway Station. The railway is in the process of relocating the general ticket counters, which were previously situated inside the station building. These counters are being moved to the reservation center. To ensure continued accessibility, the railway has introduced alternative methods for purchasing general tickets, including the installation of eight ATVMs and the availability of mobile ticketing services throughout the station premises. Reports indicate that two counters will remain operational within the station for the next two days before they are also relocated. Railway authorities have stated that the railway reservation center building will serve as a combined hub for both reserved and unreserved ticket services. Passengers needing to purchase unreserved tickets will be able to do so at the railway reservation center building. The reservation center will maintain counter availability, with four counters open during morning hours, five during the evening, and three during the night.
