Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the state-level prize distribution ceremony under the Kayakalp: Swachh Hospital Yojana organized by the Health Department at a private hotel in capital city Raipur this evening. He distributed prizes to the selected hospitals under the Swachh Hospital Yojana and congratulated them for their better management. The program was presided over by Health and Medical Minister Shri T.S. Singhdev did.
Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that special emphasis is being laid on expansion of health facilities in Chhattisgarh, so that people can get easy treatment facilities. This is the reason why people’s faith has started increasing due to the rapid expansion of facilities in government hospitals. He said that it has been the priority of our government to make health services accessible to the general public and to improve the health infrastructure in the state.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that during the global pandemic Corona crisis, we had to go through many challenges. At that time there was a crisis on the whole humanity. In times of such crisis, all the officers-employees, doctors and medical staff of the health department in the state served humanity irrespective of their lives, which is an example. As a result of better management in the state, people not only of our own state but also of other states of the country took advantage of it.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that at present, health facilities are rapidly reaching rural areas of Chhattisgarh, especially in hilly and inaccessible areas. The Haat Bazar Clinic scheme being run there is also proving to be very successful. Through this, so far more than 1.5 lakh Haat Bazar Clinic Scheme has been organized in the rural areas of the state. Of these, more than 84 lakh patients got direct benefit. People are getting free medicines and pathology facilities along with treatment under the Haat Bazar Clinic scheme.
Health Minister Shri T.S. Addressing the ceremony, Singhdev said that the health staff fulfilled their responsibilities well amidst the dangers and challenges during the Corona period. In the last few years, special attention is being given to cleanliness in government hospitals as a priority. Good infrastructure, equipment, medicines and adequate human resources are being made available for strengthening the hospitals. The dedicated staff of the department is providing health services even in remote and inaccessible areas.
These 12 hospitals got the award
Jagdalpur District Hospital was given the first prize and Mungeli District Hospital second prize in the district hospital category at the state level felicitation ceremony. In the Community Health Center category, Janakpur Community Health Center of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district got the first prize and Lormi Community Health Center of Mungeli district got the second prize. In the Primary Health Center category, Lundra Primary Health Center of Surguja district was awarded the first prize and Barpali Primary Health Center of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district was awarded the second prize. In the Urban Primary Health Center category, Shri Ram Nagar Urban Primary Health Center of Kanker stood first and Gopalpur Urban Primary Health Center of Korba stood second.
In the sub-health center category, first prize was given to Khajuri sub-health center of Balrampur-Ramanujganj district, Garh-Uproda sub-health center of Korba and Joor sub-health center of Surajpur and second prize to Dedri sub-health center of Surajpur. Rs.50 lakh as first prize and Rs.20 lakh as second prize in district hospital category, Rs.15 lakh as first prize in community health center category and Rs.10 lakh as second prize in primary health center category Two lakh rupees each to both the first and second place hospitals, two lakh rupees as the first prize in the urban primary health center category and one and a half lakh rupees as the second prize and the first place in the sub-health center level. The hospitals were awarded Rs 1 lakh each and the second prize winning hospital Rs 50,000.
Dr. Nitin Nagarkar, director of AIIMS Raipur, Dr. O.P. Sundarani and vaccinator Mrs. Vrinda were also honored. Gariaband district was also awarded for its excellent work in TB eradication. CGMSC President Dr. Pritam Ram, Health Department Secretary Mr. Prasanna R., Health Services Director Mr. Bhim Singh, National Health Mission Director Mr. Bhoskar Vilas Sandipan and CGMSC Managing Director Mr. Chandrakant Verma were also present at the State Level Rejuvenation Awards ceremony.
