Raipur News: Sculptor made idols of Gauri and Ganeshji from 51 kg of pure cow dung, 40 years old dream came true

Raipur News (Lalluram Desk): Raipur. This is the first experiment in the country when the idol of Gauri and Ganeshji has been prepared from 51 kg of pure cow dung. This has been done by the famous sculptor Pilu Ram Sahu of Bhavani Bhavan Murti Kala Kendra Nimora. The height of the idol of Mata Gauri is about six and a half feet and the idol of Lord Ganesha is about 4 feet.

The special thing is that these idols have been prepared from pure cow dung. 40 years old dream came true Sculptor Pilu Ram makes all kinds of idols but he had in his mind that idols can also be made from cow dung. This thought was in his mind for about 35-40 years. Slowly he thought about it and kept doing research. Then he got success now.

Because if cow dung is kept outside for a few days, it either dries up or insects start growing in it. He has made such arrangements to keep the cow dung clean that neither did he let it dry up nor did he let insects grow in it. Today he has erected the idols of Gauri and Ganesh made of cow dung.

Sculptor Piluram says that after 2 months of hard work, he has prepared these idols of Gauri and Ganesh from cow dung. He rears 4 abandoned calves and heifers. He has named them Durga, Siddhi, Saraswati and Punni. The idols have been prepared from their cow dung.

He told, to prepare the colour of cow dung, water is added to the cow dung and heated in fire for about 5 to 6 hours. Due to which the cow dung melts. The melted cow dung is used for polishing or for using it as a paint.

Clay is not used anywhere in the idol

He told that there is no adulteration of clay or any other material in these idols of Gauri and Ganesh made from cow dung. He put in a lot of hard work in making them. When a layer of cow dung was applied on the idol, it had to be waited for it to dry, only then could another layer be applied on top.
