The Telecom Advisory Committee convened in Raipur on Saturday, with Raipur Lok Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Brijmohan Agrawal at the helm. The meeting involved discussions on BSNL’s current service offerings, future expansions, and network improvements. MP Agrawal instructed BSNL officials to provide high-quality services to consumers, with a specific focus on bolstering the network in rural and remote locations, alongside urban areas.

Agrawal emphasized the importance of utilizing BSNL services in government entities and advocated for a swift rollout of 5G services. Furthermore, he advised BSNL to undertake extensive marketing efforts to promote its products and services, with the goal of attracting a larger customer base.

He mentioned that BSNL has launched 4G services in Naxal-affected villages where other service providers are not present. He also noted that over 700 schools have received fiber connectivity under the Samagra Shiksha Yojana.

Markam also shared information about the government’s Extended BharatNet scheme, which aims to establish 15 million Bharat Fiber connections throughout the country.
