Shivam Mishra, Raipur. A sensational case of robbery has come to light in the capital Raipur. It is believed that in Mana Basti area, 4 masked criminals have committed a robbery worth lakhs by taking the family members hostage late at night. It is being told that the robbers ran away with the jewelery worth lakhs kept in the house along with cash worth Rs 10 lakh. The masked miscreants also tied the hands and legs of the family members and beat them up. The accused opened the cupboard locker with the master key and took away valuables from the house. As soon as information about the incident was received, a team of senior police officers, dog squad and fingerprint experts reached the spot. The gang that carried out this incident is suspected to be the Patthar Gang of Madhya Pradesh.
According to the information, in Mana Basti under Mana police station area, between 3 and 4 pm on Thursday night, four masked miscreants entered inside by cutting the door of a house with a cutter. After which the robbery was carried out by holding the family members hostage in different rooms. The dacoits assaulted a middle-aged woman of the Chandrakar family. The vicious dacoits opened the cupboard using the master key they kept with them and committed the robbery of more than Rs 10-15 lakh including gold and silver jewellery, cash.
Residents of Mana Basti told that dacoits had tried to commit crimes by entering two-three houses in the area late at night. But due to screaming, the dacoits fled from the spot.
