Raipur. President Draupadi Murmu today inaugurated Surguja block at Purkhauti Muktangan in Nava Raipur. Surguja block, built at a cost of about Rs 5 crore, has displayed the lifestyle of the tribal community of Chhattisgarh state, especially the Surguja region, and their cultural and archaeological heritage.

A house made of bamboo and chind leaves depicting the traditional lifestyle of Pando tribe has been displayed in Surguja block. In these houses there is a special place for worshiping the deities. The Samat Sarna Shiva temple built in the block is a replica of the ruins of the ancient temples in Deepadih, which are of the 7th-13th century.
