Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of development works worth ₹141 crore held today in Jugera village of Balod district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our government is committed to reaching good governance to the last person, focusing on education, health, irrigation resources, and road maintenance. What is called Ram Rajya in ancient Indian scriptures is good governance. The sunrise of good governance has happened, this has been possible due to your affection and immense public support. We are confident that your trust will remain unwavering. Together, we will transform developing Chhattisgarh into a developed Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s dream is that no Indian will sleep under the open sky. Every citizen will have a pucca house. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more than 31,000 families in Balod district have benefited from the construction of pucca houses. More than half of these houses have been built. The construction of the remaining houses is underway. He congratulated and wished the beneficiaries who have moved into their new houses.
Chief Minister Sai inaugurated and performed the groundbreaking ceremony for various development works worth ₹141 crore at the program held in Jugera village of Balod district. He also announced the construction of a 400-seater auditorium in Balod and the construction of a dome structure at the Banjari Mata Temple in Jugera to improve facilities for visitors. The Chief Minister said that soon a Nalanda campus will be constructed in Balod; its approval has already been received. He appreciated Veena Sahu, a resident of Jamruwa village in Balod, who is serving as a Lieutenant Nursing Officer in the Indian Army, and wished her a bright future.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that a large number of tendu leaf beneficiaries are in Balod district. In their interest, we have ensured procurement at a rate of ₹5500 per standard bag, increasing the procurement rate by ₹1500 per standard bag. We have performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the lining repair and reconstruction of the canals of the Matiamoti reservoir in Daundilohara block. This canal, to be built at a cost of approximately ₹30 crore, will provide sufficient irrigation water to farmers.
The Chief Minister said that about 1.5 lakh farmers in Balod district have benefited from the Krishak Unnati Yojana. ₹686 crore has been transferred to their accounts for the paddy sold in the Kharif season of 2023-24, leading to increased prosperity among farmers. Farmers are happy. We believe that when our food providers are happy, everyone’s life will be happy. We also gave ₹223 crore in outstanding bonus to more than 1.5 lakh farmers in Balod district last year.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sav said that in the Shri Vishnu Dev Sai government, which has the guarantee of Modi Ji, there will be no shortage of funds for development works. The program was also addressed by MP Shri Bhojraj Nag. A large number of dignitaries were present on this occasion.
