The district administration in Pendra has taken stern action concerning the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana within the Pendra development block. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended due to negligence and dereliction of duty. A show-cause notice has also been served to Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant of the same panchayat. In addition, directives have been issued to relocate the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat with immediate effect. The actions were taken under the guidance of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaidh. Vaidh has made it clear that any laxity in government schemes will not be condoned. He has warned all panchayat staff that strict action will be taken against those who impede the progress of vital schemes like the PM Awas Yojana. The administration’s firm measures have caused ripples within the panchayats, and other panchayats have been directed to ensure the schemes’ timely and transparent execution.
