The Pendra district administration has responded decisively to issues in the execution of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the Pendra development block. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for failing to meet expectations and showing a lack of diligence. A show-cause notice has also been delivered to Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat.

Further action includes the immediate transfer of the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat.

This response is in line with the instructions from District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaid, who has made it clear that negligence in government schemes will not be tolerated. He has warned all panchayat personnel of the repercussions for interfering with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and similar crucial projects.

The administration’s firm approach has created a sense of urgency among the panchayats. They have been told to conduct their work on these schemes in a timely and transparent manner.
