Name transfer will be easy through the Sugam app.

Raipur, January 9, 2025 / Following the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the process of name transfer in the state is being simplified. This facility is being provided in the Sugam app. Along with the registration of land or plot, data will be transferred to the Revenue Department, from where the name transfer will be easily done.

Currently, about eight thousand properties are registered daily in the state, due to which the buyer has to wait for one to ninety days to get the name transfer of land or plot done. For this, one has to make rounds of the Tehsil and Patwari offices. Keeping this in mind, the Revenue Department is now going to start an immediate name transfer facility. This initiative will benefit both the Revenue Department and the applicants.

Revenue officials say that after the registration starts through the Sugam app, the registration will be completely transparent. The Bhuinya record has been linked to the Sugam app; the registration process will be based on the records in it. All possibilities of irregularities in registration will be eliminated. Thus, registration will only happen if the revenue record is correct, and based on this record, the name transfer will also happen within 24 hours. Currently, after getting the registration done, one has to go to the Tehsil office to get the name transfer done and submit an application there, but now, the application is forwarded to the login IDs of the Patwari and Tehsildar along with the registration. The applicant’s application is displayed to the concerned Tehsildar. This will save time.
