    Raipur/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, welcoming the historic GST reforms taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, said that this decision will make India’s tax system simpler for the common people and more encouraging for industry and trade.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that after giving exemption up to Rs 12 lakh in income tax, now with the heavy reduction in GST rates, the goods of daily needs, agricultural equipment, food and beverages, medicines, educational materials, entertainment items, automobiles and electronic equipment have become cheaper. Tax rates on many essential items have been reduced to zero, which will directly benefit the citizens.

    He said that this provision, which will be implemented from the Navratri festival, will realize the concept of Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living of the Prime Minister. This will give new energy to industry and trade and boost the country’s economy.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that on behalf of the three crore people of Chhattisgarh, I express my gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. This decision is proof of the commitment to simplify the life of the common man and take the country to new heights of the global economy.
