Raipur. Naxalism is towards ending all over India. According to the government’s goal, the security forces personnel are taking action. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has posted on the X platform and said that taking a big step towards the creation of Naxalism -free India, India has achieved a new milestone by reducing the number of over -affected districts of leftist extremism from 12 to 6 tax. These include four districts of Chhattisgarh.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the Modi government is building strong, safe and prosperous India with tireless efforts for Ruthless Approach and all -round development towards Naxalism. India is committed to root out Naxalism by 31 March 2026. He said, the total number of districts affected by Naxalism in the country was 38. The number of highly affected districts in this was 12, which decreased to 6. The number of District of Concern was 9, which decreased to 6 and the number of other lwe-affected districts was 17, it has also come down to 6.

Home Minister Shah has said that out of the total affected districts of Naxalism, 12 districts have been reduced to 6, including 4 districts of Chhattisgarh (Bijapur, Kanker, Narayanpur and Sukma), 1 (West Singhbhum) of Jharkhand and 1 district (Gadchiroli) of Maharashtra. Similarly, out of a total of 38 affected districts, the number of Districts, where additional resources of over -affected districts need to be provided intensively, have come down from 9 to 6. These 6 districts are Andhra Pradesh (Alluri Sitaram Raju), Madhya Pradesh (Balaghat), Odisha (Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Malkangiri) and Telangana (Bhadradri-Kothagudem).
Government of India assists crores to highly Naxalite affected districts
He said that due to continuous action against Naxalism, the number of other LWE-effected Districts has also come down from 17 to 6. This includes Dantewada, Gariaband and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh outpost in Chhattisgarh, Latehar in Jharkhand, Nuapada in Odisha and Mulugu in Telangana. Shah said, the Government of India gives financial assistance of Rs 30 crore and Rs 10 crore respectively to fill the gaps in public infrastructure under a special scheme, special central assistance (SCA) to the districts and District of Concern districts. Apart from this, there is also a provision of special projects as per the requirement for these districts.
Benefits of opening camp in Naxalite affected core areas
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “In the last one year, the main reason for the remarkable improvement in the Left extremism scenario is the establishment of new security camps in the insurgency affected core areas.” Also, development oriented works like expansion of roads, transport facilities, water, electricity and other public welfare schemes of the government have to increase access to the villagers.
