    Navratri, a period of fasting and devotion, unfolds four times annually. This includes two prominent and two concealed observances. Among these, Sharadiya Navratri, observed during the Shukla Paksha of the Ashwin month, stands out. This festival celebrates the nine forms of Goddess Durga.

    This year, the Sharadiya Navratri begins on a Monday, with the arrival of Goddess Durga on an elephant. This signifies auspiciousness and prosperity. It’s widely believed that during Navratri, Goddess Durga descends to bless her followers.

    This year’s Navratri commencement details are as follows.

    Departure of the Goddess:
    On October 2, 2025, which falls on a Thursday, the Sharadiya Navratri will conclude on Vijayadashami. Goddess Durga’s departure will be on a palanquin, symbolizing joy and fortune.

    Dates and Auspicious Moments:
    The Pratipada Tithi of the Ashwin month’s Shukla Paksha commences on September 22 at 1:23 AM and ends on September 23 at 2:55 AM. Sharadiya Navratri starts on September 22, with the Ghatasthapana ritual performed on the same day.

    Shubh Muhurat for Ghatasthapana: The auspicious time for Ghatasthapana is from 6:08 AM to 8:06 AM. Additionally, the Abhijit Muhurat will be observed from 11:49 AM to 12:38 PM.

    Navami Information:
    The Navami Tithi begins on September 30 at 6:06 PM, concluding on October 1 at 7:01 PM. Mahanavami will be observed on October 1, with Kanya Pujan conducted on this day.
