Raipur. For the first time on 25th August, a grand ritual based on Namothunam Paath, which is accepted in all traditions of Jainism, has been organized at Shri Lal Ganga Patwa Bhawan, Tagore Nagar Raipur. This program will be held under the guidance of Munishri Sudhakar and Munishri Naresh Kumar, disciples of Acharya Mahashraman, from 9 am onwards under the Gatiman Chaturmasik Pravas.
On the Namothunam Paath, Munishri Sudhakar said that this Paath is an eternal Paath, which has not been composed by humans but by the Indra of the Gods i.e. Shakren Dev. The specialty of this Paath is that it does not worship or mention the name of any particular person. It is completely a praise of the qualities of Tirthankara Bhagwan. No wish or request of any kind has been made in this Paath. This Paath is very miraculous as it is worshipped by sixty-four Indras and innumerable Gods and Goddesses.
These things have to be taken care of
Munishri further told that by chanting this text, we get freedom from diseases and ailments, prevention of inauspicious deeds, freedom from obstacles and evils, domestic peace, planetary peace along with help in awakening of luck and good fortune. While chanting Namothunam text 108 times in the ritual, 1008 names of Tirthankara Lord will also be mentioned. The special thing is that anyone, Jain or non-Jain, can participate in this ritual, just some things have to be taken special care of, like prohibition of products made of leather, physical cleanliness, decent attire/clothes (male – white and female – red), use of mobile etc. are prohibited.
