In a shocking incident from Ambikapur district of Chhattisgarh, the police have arrested a husband and daughter for allegedly beating their wife and mother, Durga Chaudhary, to death. The brutal act was reportedly carried out due to the victim’s persistent alcohol addiction.

Sources indicate that the family had repeatedly tried to persuade Durga Chaudhary to quit drinking, but their efforts were in vain. Frustrated by her refusal to change her ways, the husband and daughter allegedly engaged in a violent altercation with her on the night of December 29th. The severity of the beating resulted in critical injuries.

Following the assault, Durga Chaudhary was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries during the course of treatment. The Ambikapur Kotwali police, upon receiving information about the incident, launched an investigation. Based on the findings, the police apprehended the husband and daughter, who have since been remanded to judicial custody. The case highlights the tragic consequences that can arise from unresolved family disputes and substance abuse issues.
