    The monsoon season is exhibiting its destructive potential across the nation. Mountainous areas are grappling with cloudbursts and landslides. Rivers, swollen with water, are causing extensive damage. Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh continue to be battered by heavy rainfall. Jammu, Kathua, Bhadarwah, Udhampur, and Batote have experienced intense downpours. Himachal Pradesh is witnessing rain in Kangra, Kullu, Manali, Mandi, and Dharamshala. Dharamshala and Mandi received a staggering 100 millimeters of rain within a single day.

    The capital city, Delhi, and the NCR region have received light to moderate rainfall in the last 24 hours. The weather department forecasts rain and thunderstorms for the current day. The department also indicates that the rain and thunderstorm activity in Delhi is not going to subside soon. Delhi is likely to experience rain and thunderstorms until August 30. Rain or thundershowers are expected on August 31 and September 1.

    **Reduced Rainfall in Uttar Pradesh**

    Uttar Pradesh recently received good and heavy rainfall. According to the weather department’s forecast, there is no expectation of heavy rainfall in the state in the coming days. Today, there is a possibility of light showers and thunderstorms in some areas of western and eastern UP, but the weather department has not issued any warnings for heavy rainfall. There is also no expectation of heavy rainfall in any part of the state on August 28 and 29.

    **Rainfall Outlook for the Next 24 Hours**

    Light rainfall is anticipated in Western Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Saurashtra, and Kutch in the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rainfall is likely in coastal Karnataka, central Maharashtra, and Lakshadweep. Moderate to heavy rainfall is predicted for Punjab, Haryana, and southeastern Rajasthan. Uttarakhand, Northeast India, and Andaman-Nicobar are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall. Telangana, South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Gujarat region, Konkan-Goa, Odisha, and North Andhra coast may experience light to moderate rain with isolated heavy showers. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
