The monsoon season is fully underway across Chhattisgarh, with rainfall expected in several districts today. The weather bureau has issued a heavy rainfall warning for the Sarguja division. Additionally, heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds and lightning is anticipated in Raipur, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon, Balod, Sukma, Bijapur, Dantewada, Kanker, and other areas.

The minimum temperature in Raipur was 25.8 degrees Celsius, and the maximum was 31.1 degrees Celsius. The weather department expects similar conditions for the next three days. Residents are advised to remain indoors during rainfall and to avoid seeking shelter in exposed locations.

The Jashpur region is experiencing overflowing rivers and streams due to ongoing rainfall.

Over the next 24 hours, the Sarguja division in northern Chhattisgarh is expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. Jashpur district has been experiencing continuous rainfall for 60 hours, with a total of 468.7 mm of rainfall. This has led to the swelling of rivers such as Ib, Dorki, Lava, Maini, and Kapri, resulting in the obstruction of traffic in multiple locations.
