    Manendragarh BEO Surendra Jaiswal Suspended

Serious irregularities alleged in the rationalization of teachers

    Commissioner Sarguja Division takes action

Raipur, June 10, 2025/ The Commissioner of Sarguja Division has suspended Surendra Prasad Jaiswal, the Block Education Officer of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district, with immediate effect. This action has been taken as per the instructions of the state government due to irregularities during the rationalization of schools and teachers. According to the issued order, Mr. Jaiswal has been accused of serious charges like tampering with the seniority list of teachers, giving incorrect information about subjects, and not following cyclical rules.

The order mentions three major irregularities, in which Mrs. Gunjan Sharma was declared surplus despite being senior in the seniority order in the secondary school Ledri. Similarly, Mrs. Arnima Jaiswal should have been considered surplus based on the appointment date in the primary school Chimtimar, but instead, Mrs. Sandhya Singh was placed in the surplus list. Incorrect information about the subject of teacher Mr. Suryakant Joshi was given in the secondary school Salhi and the subject cycle was not followed.

The Commissioner Sarguja, considering it as negligence of duty and arbitrariness, has taken action for suspension under the Chhattisgarh Civil Service (Conduct) Rule 1965 and (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rule 1966. During the suspension period, the headquarters of Mr. Jaiswal has been fixed as the District Education Officer’s office, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.
