Major irregularities in printing question papers in Pandit Ravi Shankar University, more than Rs 2.26 crores were spent in the budget of Rs 50 lakhs, NSUI submitted memorandum to the Vice Chancellor

Raipur. Today, under the leadership of NSUI State General Secretary and Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University NSUI in-charge Nikhil Vanjari, NSUI workers submitted a memorandum to the Registrar. Nikhil told that Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University has spent Rs 256 lakh in printing question papers of various examinations including the annual examination in the year 2023. Whereas there is a provision of only Rs 50 lakh in the university budget. This amount is 5 times more than the question paper printing budget estimate for the year 2023 and 10 and a half times more than the budget for the year 2021- 2022. The universities should explain how the expenditure increased when the number of students would have decreased in the year 2023.

NSUI will not tolerate wastage of students' money at all. NSUI has demanded that the complete details of the expenditure incurred in printing the question paper should be shared and all the officers involved in this irregularity should be immediately dismissed. NSUI has demanded a high level investigation and an impartial committee should be formed to conduct this investigation. In which university students will also be included.

According to the documents, Rs 24 lakh was spent on question paper printing in 2021-22. In this, an expenditure of Rs 15 lakh has been shown from 1 April 2021 to 30 November 2021. The budget estimate for 2022-23 was Rs 85 lakh. Whereas from April 1, 2022 to November 30, 2022, the expenditure has been shown to be Rs 30.50 lakh. Also, the revised estimate for 2022-23 and the budget estimate for 2023-24 was made Rs 50 lakh.

University NSUI in-charge Nikhil Vanjari said that if the complete report is not presented before the students within 10 days, then NSUI will protest aggressively. During this, District Vice President Vaibhav Mujewar, University Vice President Alok Singh, District General Secretary Ketan Verma, Rahul Gupta, Khemchand Verma, Priyanshu Singh, Rohan Sahu, Prateek Dhruv, Vinayak Tiwari, Vivek Verma, Jayesh Banjare, Satyam Kushwaha, Panshul Awasthi etc. were present.
