    Raipur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today participated in the state-level Mahtari Sadan inauguration ceremony organized in Kareli Badi village of Kurud assembly constituency of Dhamtari district. From the stage in Kareli Badi, he virtually inaugurated 51 newly constructed Mahtari Sadans in various districts of the state by pressing the button with a remote. Along with this, the Gram Sampada App and the Citizen Information Portal based on comprehensive information of MNREGA were also launched. Apart from this, the booklets ‘Lakhpati Didi/Mahtari Sadan’ and ”Maa Abhiyan” were also released.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai interacted virtually with women’s groups from various districts of the state, Jashpur (Rengle), Bemetara (Linjhewara), Mungeli (Nawagaon) and Durg (Nagpura) in the program and gave them best wishes for Mahtari Sadan and Navratri festival. He said that the state government is continuously striving to fulfill Modi’s guarantee in its short tenure of 19 months. The Chief Minister said that empowering the Matrishakti is the top priority of the government. Now the women of the group will be able to do many works like sewing-embroidery, vegetable production and self-employment training in Mahtari Sadan.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Chhattisgarh government is running many ambitious schemes like Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme and Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Referring to the new industrial policy, he said that there are immense possibilities of connecting the youth with self-employment in it. He also reiterated the resolve to make Chhattisgarh Naxalism-free by March 2026 in accordance with the intentions of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah.

    Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, congratulating the launch of Mahtari Sadan, said that the government is continuously working towards making women self-reliant. He said that women are becoming financially empowered through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and through the Atal Digital Seva Kendra, services from withdrawing money to other services have become available in the villages. District in-charge Minister Shri Tankram Verma and MP Smt. Rupkumari Chaudhary also addressed the program. Kurud MLA Shri Ajay Chandrakar warmly welcomed the Chief Minister, mentioning the development works being done in the area.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai gave a development gift of more than Rs 83 crore to Dhamtari district. He announced the establishment of a college in Kareli Badi village. Along with this, approval was given for a new ITI in G. Jamgaon of Kurud. The announcement was made to give the status of Nagar Panchayat by merging Gram Panchayat Kareli Badi and Gram Khatti. He announced to expand the urban water supply scheme in Nagar Panchayat Kurud and Bhakhara at a cost of Rs 30 crore, to give approval of Rs 45 crore for the construction of Baronda Anicut from Bhendri, to give the status of Municipal Council to Nagar Panchayat Kurud and Rs 2 crore for various development works in Kurud Nagar Panchayat, one and a half crore rupees for Nagar Panchayat Bhakhara and 5 crore rupees for Khatti Anicut repair. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma also announced the construction of Gaurav Path in Bhendri.

    Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao from Mungeli along with MPs, MLAs and local public representatives from other districts also virtually joined the program. About two lakh women from all over the state virtually participated in this program. Earlier, Chief Minister Shri Sai inspected the exhibition and stalls of development works displayed by various departments in the program and distributed materials and checks to the beneficiaries. At the beginning of the program, Principal Secretary Smt. Niharika Barik Singh gave detailed information about Mahtari Sadan. On this occasion, many public representatives and a large number of dignitaries were present.
