Ambikapur October 20, 2024/Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Sunday virtually inaugurated Maa Mahamaya Airport Darima, Ambikapur by pressing the remote from Varanasi. He was connected live from Banaras from 5 pm onwards. On this occasion, PM Modi said that earlier there were 70 airports in the country, now there are more than 150 airports. The old airports are also being renovated. Shri Modi said that connectivity will boost health, education, business, tourism etc. He said that in the last ten years, due to investment, civic facilities have increased, along with infrastructure development, youth have also got new job opportunities. On this occasion, a 19 seater aircraft symbolically took off from the airport site for Raipur.
राज्यपाल श्री रमेन डेका ने कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित जनों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि आज का दिन हमारे लिये एक महत्वपूर्ण क्षण है, मां महामाया एयरपोर्ट से विमान अपनी गति प्राप्त करेगा और उड़ान भरेगा, जिससे सरगुजा संभाग में विकास के नये आयाम खुलेंगे। एयरपोर्ट के माध्यम से इस क्षेत्र के नागरिकों और उद्योगपतियों के लिये एक बेहतर संचार सिस्टम स्थापित होगा। बस्तर के बाद सरगुजा प्रदेश का दूसरा बड़ा आदिवासी बाहुल्य क्षेत्र है। एयरपोर्ट सेवा से यहां के अंचल का विकास होगा। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि यह उड़ान छत्तीसगढ़ को नई दिशा की ओर ले जायेगी, सरगुजा प्रदेश ही नहीं अपितु पूरे देश में विकास की एक नई उड़ान तय करेगा। प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी का विज़न, देश में बेहतर विमानन सेवा की स्थापना करना है और देश के सभी हिस्सों को इससे जोड़ना है।
एयरपोर्ट लोकार्पण कार्यक्रम में मुख्यमंत्री श्री विष्णु देव साय ने उपस्थित जनों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि क्षेत्रवासियों का बरसों का सपना अब साकार हुआ है। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा था कि देश मे हवाई चप्पल पहनने वाला भी हवाई जहाज का सफर करेगाl यह सपना साकार हो रहा है, हवाई सेवा के नक्शे में अंबिकापुर को शामिल करने के लिए उन्होंने प्रधान मंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी को धन्यवाद दिया। उन्होंने कहा आमजन के हवाई जहाज से सफर करने का सपना साकार हुआ है जिससे उनका आर्थिक दर्जा भी बढ़ेगा। मां महामाया एयरपोर्ट ना केवल राज्य की राजधानी को बल्कि अन्य राज्य को जोड़ने का कार्य भी करेगी।
उप मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरुण साव ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि छत्तीसगढ़ में रायपुर, बिलासपुर, जगदलपुर के बाद आज अंबिकापुर में हवाई सेवा का शुभारंभ हो रहा है। आम नागरिक भी उड़ान के अपने सपनों को साकार कर सकेंगें। एयरपोर्ट से कनेक्टीविटी की सुविधा में विस्तार होगा जिससे पर्यटन, व्यापार इत्यादि में क्षेत्र के स्थानीय लोगों और व्यापरियों को लाभ होगा। कृषि मंत्री श्री रामविचार नेताम ने अपने उद्बोधन में कहा कि उड़ान योजना के तहत देश के 100 एयरपोर्ट को चिह्नित कर देशवासियों के आवश्यकता अनुरूप अंबिकापुर को भी इसमें शामिल किया गया। Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that this opportunity has come after many years. Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh has received the gift of an airport through Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Due to which employment opportunities will increase for the people of the area and the pace of economic development will accelerate.
Addressing the people present in the program, Surguja MP Shri Chintamani Maharaj said that today a new history is being written in Ambikapur, the airport will be known in the name of the adorable goddess Maa Mahamaya. Air service will start from here soon. Due to the meaningful efforts of the government, the area has got the gift of air service. Air service will start from here, which will undoubtedly benefit the residents of this area.
Maa Mahamaya Airport Darima, Ambikapur is spread over approximately 365 acres, the amount for civil and electrification work of the airport is Rs. Approval of Rs 48.25 crore has been given. In which the amount for runway improvement and expansion and apron and taxi-way construction work is Rs. 35.19 crore, amount for drainage construction work is Rs. 1.80 crore, amount for boundary wall work is 1.98 crore, amount for upgradation of terminal building is Rs. 1.15 crore, Fire Store and Training Centre, Meteorological Department and Ground Staff, Panel Room and CCR. Amount for anti hijacking room is Rs 0.61 crore, amount for approach road. 0.61 crore, amount of 0.91 crore has been approved for CNA session, ATC store, 6 nos. watch tower, fire shed repair and sinful light cabling and amount of 2.14 crore has been approved for other electrification work. All the above work has been done as per DGCA standards. The upgradation of Maa Mahamaya Airport was taken up in the year 2012-13 under the UDAN scheme, under which the airport was developed as per CVFR 3 standard. Specifically, the length of the runway has been increased from 1500 meters to 1800 meters. The terminal building was upgraded to accommodate 72 passengers. A four-lane road was constructed up to the terminal building along with parking arrangements for about 100 vehicles in the airport. High quality ATC, Met Office, Anti Hijack Room, Fire Store and Training Center, GD Electric Panel Room have been constructed in the airport. The residents of the area will get direct benefits from the operation of the airport in Surguja division. With the start of air service, the economic condition of the division will be strengthened, the tourism sector here will get a boost and the local people will get ample employment opportunities. Maa Mahamaya Airport is ready, from where citizens will soon be able to enjoy flying.
