The Chief Minister performed Chherapahara (sweeping in front of the chariot with a broom made of gold) ceremony before the Rath Yatra.

From the Rath Yatra, the Leader Minister worshiped and taken the idols on his head and taken them to the chariot.

The Leader Minister carried out Chherapahara (sweeping in entrance of the chariot with a brush fabricated from gold) rite earlier than the Rath Yatra.
