Jashpur becomes the main attraction of adventure tourism

Raipur 11 November 2024/ A bike trip recently organized by Jashpure and Pahari Bakra Adventure attracted riders from all over the country. These adventurous bikers from across the country experienced the thrill of Jashpur's winding roads, tough trails, and lush green forests. These riders have the experience of biking on the tough terrains of Himalayan states like Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh and got to see the untouched natural beauty of the state of Chhattisgarh from a new perspective. The unique natural attractions of Jashpur like Rani Dah Falls, Sarudih Tea Garden, Kinkel Path, Churi and Makkarbhajja Falls and the tribal culture and food products here became the center of special attraction for them. Apart from this, the exciting experience of rock climbing and camping at Deshdekha climbing sector and star gazing at Pandrapath was also special for them.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the government has initiated extensive efforts since last year to encourage tourism and raise the standard of living of the local people. Considering the natural wealth of Jashpur and the possibilities of exciting activities, Chief Minister Sai has set a target of developing it as a new center of adventure sports. Due to his able leadership and visionary policies, the region is now becoming famous as a major adventure tourism destination not only in the state but in the entire country.

Adventure sports and tourism are not just a means of entertainment, but can also become a major source of employment for the local youth. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, local youth and tribal people have been trained at the international level in the nuances of adventure sports. Rock climbing was organized with the help of local guides in “Deshdekha Climbing Sector” of Jashpur, which is now in discussion among adventure sports enthusiasts across the country.

A special star gazing session was also organized during the visit, in which the participants observed celestial bodies in the open night sky and learned about astrology. This part of Jashpur is now being seen at the national level as a suitable place for star gazing, which has the potential to give a special and unique experience to the tourists.
The bikers also enjoyed the local tribal food and culture. Tasting the traditional dishes of Mahua and Millet prepared by Jashpure, and visiting tribal homes to learn about their lifestyle and cultural heritage, was a memorable experience for them. International mountaineering guide, extreme adventure sports trainer and district adventure tourism advisor K Swapnil Rachelwar said that this area is full of diverse possibilities. The local and tribal people here are naturally and mentally strong in such sports, and after getting proper guidance, many international level players and professional guides can emerge from here. This systematic initiative of the district administration and the state government also ensured that the development of this area takes place with environmental protection and respect for tribal culture. His dream is that Jashpur emerges as a major center of adventure sports and through this the local community is empowered. Jashpur has now emerged as a new center of adventure sports in Chhattisgarh. It is poised to become a hotspot of adventure sports not only in Central India but also in the entire nation, where tourists can have a different and unique experience.
