A man from Bhilai, Mukesh Gupta, died after drowning in the sea while visiting Puri for the Jagannath Temple. After the temple visit, he and his friends went swimming when strong currents pulled him under. Despite efforts, he could not be saved. His body was recovered by the shore team. His friends are now bringing his body back to Bhilai. The community is in mourning following the tragic loss.
