    Independence Day celebrations: Cultural performances by school students captivated the audience

    Mothers Pride School secured the first position in the cultural competition, and Lakshminarayan Kanya Vidyalaya secured the second position.

    Raipur, August 15, 2025 / Approximately 780 school students presented performances infused with the folk art and culture of Chhattisgarh at the state-level Independence Day celebrations held at the Police Parade Ground in Raipur, the capital. In the competition held among these performances, Mothers Pride School Raipur secured the first position, Lakshmi Narayan Kanya Higher Secondary School Raipur secured the second position, and Salem English Medium School secured the third position. The Chief Minister honored all the winners by giving them shields and medals.

    A patriotic presentation was given by 250 children of Mothers Pride School Raipur on remix songs like O Mai Teri Mitti Bulae Haye, Dara Lor Gehe Re…., Hamar Para Tuhar Para… Through this dance and song, the students displayed the scene of sacrificing their lives in the service of Bharat Mata, not caring for their lives to protect the motherland and the safety of the mother, daughter, and sister of the country by the army of the country. Also, Operation Sindoor, conducted by the Indian Armed Forces against the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, was also shown through the presentation in an attractive manner.

    200 students of Lakshminarayan Kanya U.M.V. Raipur presented a captivating dance on the song Haye Kahe Gajri, Haye Kahe Gajri. Through this dance and song, a beautiful impression of Raut Nacha and other dances performed on many occasions was also presented among the audience. Along with this, the children of the school also showed the contribution of the festivals and folk dances of Chhattisgarh in the freedom movement through this presentation.

    A beautiful presentation was given by 250 children of Salem English School Raipur on the song of Chhattisgarh, Bhuiya M Bhag Hamar Jage Re Jage Re. Through this dance and song, the students preserved all the folk dances and culture of Chhattisgarh. They also displayed the colorful scenery of Chhattisgarh’s nature. In this dance, the Karma folk dance was also displayed by the school children with very beautiful expressions.
