    New Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah reiterated in the Rajya Sabha on Friday that Naxalites from the country will be eliminated by March 2026. He paid tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed for the country and said that ending terrorism and Naxalism is the goal of his government. This statement came after more than 20 Naxalites of security forces in different encounters in Bastar region.

    During the discussion in the Rajya Sabha on the functioning of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Shah said that Naxalism is not a political problem. It is necessary to eliminate it and within a year the Government of India will end it. He said that the government is developing in Naxalite affected areas, so that people there can join the mainstream. Amit Shah said that the problem of Northeast is also on the verge of ending, violent incidents in the country have decreased by 70 percent.

    Amit Shah said, “In a way, the Ministry of Home Affairs works in very difficult circumstances. The Constitution has given the responsibility of law and order to the states. Keeping these all these, I am required to change in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Long pending changes in the Ministry of Home Affairs have made at once to ensure national security. ”
