Raipur, August 14, 2025 / On the occasion of Independence Day, the Governor of Chhattisgarh, Shri Ramen Deka, has extended his best wishes to the people of the state, the countrymen, brave soldiers and freedom fighters.
In his message, Governor Shri Deka said that on August 15, 2025, India is celebrating its glorious 79th year of independence. This freedom is the result of countless sacrifices, difficult struggles and extraordinary sacrifices. Great men like Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, along with countless known-unknown freedom fighters, made significant contributions in their own ways to liberate the country from British rule. We are grateful to all those martyrs and pay our respects to them with reverence.
The Governor said that our brave soldiers and members of the security forces have also sacrificed their lives from time to time to maintain the integrity of the country’s freedom. This unique contribution of theirs will always be remembered.
He appealed to the youth to play their active and positive role in the unity, integrity and progress of the nation, so that India becomes even stronger, prosperous and glorious for future generations.
