    Governor Shri Ramen Deka attended the third convocation of Amity University today as the chief guest. He said on the occasion that knowledge and skills have a major role in the progress of today’s world. Higher education institutions should play an active role in shaping the next generation of thinkers, leaders and nephews. At the convocation held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur, Governor Shri Deka gave various awards to the meritorious students of the university and gold medal to 18 meritorious students, 15 silver medals and 6 to 6 were awarded bronze medals. In the ceremony, 660 students of 2024 batch were distributed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Dr. V.K., a scientist of Defense Research and Development Organization, Das and industrialist Mr. S.N. Swami was awarded Ph.D. in various subjects including 16 students, including honorary doctoral degrees. On this occasion, the Governor said that this day is a symbol of years of hard work, dedication and perseverance for all graduate students. This is a proud moment not only for you but also for your families, teachers and guides. He said that Chhattisgarh has been a land of knowledge, tradition and excellence for a long time. They themselves are amazed to know that the history of Chhattisgarh is older than the Ramayana period. This state has contributed a lot to science, literature, music, folk art, cinema, sports and politics. It has a strong commitment to a strong educational, culture, education and research. Shri Deka said that India stands on the threshold of a new era of development and change. With the progress in technology, industry, agriculture, healthcare and digital infrastructure, our country is ready to become a global leader and is leading to become a 5 trillion economy. Mr. Deka called upon the students to think about innovation and adopt it. The future is of those who dare. Dream and work tirelessly to achieve those dreams. India needs entrepreneurs, researchers and visionary people, who can pursue the country with new ideas and solutions. Shri Deka said that India has always been a country of intellectual and scientific achievements. From the ancient universities of Nalanda and Taxila to modern research institutes, our country has always been at the forefront of knowledge. Our great Indian scholars have contributed significantly to the fields of mathematics, science, medicine and philosophy. Life is a journey. You keep moving forward in your life and try to do well. He said that all of you should be committed to learning lifetime, moral leadership and service to society. Education is not only for personal success; It is a responsibility towards the nation and the world. Shri Deka said that education should not be made business but it is the path to the progress of life. They themselves will keep trying to improve the quality of education in government and private universities. On this occasion, Shri Deka planted a plant on ‘one tree mother’s name’. At the ceremony, the founder president of the university, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Chairman Dr. Aseem K.K. Chauhan, Chancellor W. Selvamurthy, Vice Chancellor Dr. Piyush Kant Pandey, Registrar, Faculty Members, Dean, Professor, Students and their families were present in large numbers.
