    Inauguration of 3 new Chhattisgarh State Gramin Banks in Jashpur district

    New bank branches started in villages Ara, Kudekela and Chhichhli

    About 44 thousand people of 23 Gram Panchayats and 48 dependent villages will get benefit

    Raipur, August 10, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that providing banking facilities in the remote rural areas of the state and the district is the priority of our government, so that farmers, traders and common citizens can get financial services in their own villages. He said that banking services not only accelerate economic activities, but also form the basis for the effective implementation of government schemes.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai virtually inaugurated the new branches of Chhattisgarh State Gramin Bank in Gram Ara of Jashpur development block, Gram Kudekela (Gharjiyabthan) of Patthalgaon development block and Gram Chhichhli of Bagicha development block from the Chief Minister’s camp office in Bagia village of Jashpur district. On this occasion, he also released the 12th annual report of Chhattisgarh State Gramin Bank.

    More than 44 thousand villagers will be benefited

    Addressing the program virtually, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that with the opening of three new branches of Chhattisgarh State Gramin Bank in Jashpur district, about 44 thousand people of 23 Gram Panchayats and 48 dependent villages will get direct benefit. Now the villagers will not have to go far for banking works, which will save time and money.

    Villagers will get financial services from Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra

    Chief Minister Shri Sai informed that Atal Digital Suvidha Kendras have been started in 268 panchayats of Jashpur district, through which transactions of about Rs 15 crore have been done so far. There is a plan to start these Suvidha Kendras in all the panchayats of the district by the upcoming Panchayat Day. From these centers, villagers will be provided services related to banking, insurance and government schemes in their own villages.

    Sarpanch of village Chhichhli of Jashpur district, Smt. Anima Minj, Sarpanch of Ara, Shri Manoj Bhagat and Sarpanch of Kudekela, Smt. Shashikanta Painkra said that now all banking facilities will be available at the local level to the villagers of their area from the new bank branches.

    MLA Smt. Raymuni Bhagat, virtually connected from Gram Panchayat Ara, said that with the opening of the bank, the benefit of beneficiary-oriented schemes will be directly available to the beneficiaries through the bank.

    MLA Smt. Gomti Sai, virtually connected from Gram Kudekela, while mentioning the Pradhan Mantri Shri Narendra Modi’s Jan Dhan Yojana, said that it has increased financial awareness among the people and now the development of rural areas will gain momentum through 3 new Gramin Banks. District Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai also expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister. With the opening of these 3 new branches, the total number of branches of Chhattisgarh State Gramin Bank in the district has increased to 30.

    In this program organized at the camp office, Chairman of Matikala Board Shri Shambhunath Chakravarti, District Panchayat members Shri Ved Prakash Bhagat, Shri Upendra Yadav, Shri Sunil Gupta, District Panchayat CEO Shri Abhishek Kumar, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Gramin Bank Shri Vinod Arora, along with the representatives of the three Gram Panchayats and the villagers were virtually present.
