Chief Minister addressed the 8th triennial state convention of the State Employees Union, Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister announced an increase in the dearness allowance of government officials and employees from 55 percent to 58 percent. Raipur January 11, 2026/Employees are the backbone of government administration and it is through their honesty, diligence and sensitivity that government schemes, policies and decisions are realized in actual form on the ground. The administrative structure of Chhattisgarh is able to function effectively only due to the hard work, loyalty and discipline of all of you. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this while addressing the 8th triennial state convention organized by the State Employees Union, Chhattisgarh at the Saraswati Shiksha Sansthan campus located in Rohinipuram, capital Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Sai, while taking an important decision in the interest of the government officers and employees of the state, announced to increase the dearness allowance from 55 percent to 58 percent, equivalent to that of the Central Government. He said that this decision will provide real relief to the employees amidst rising inflation. He said that this decision reflects the government’s employee-friendly commitment. Chief Minister Shri Sai, while addressing the convention, said that this convention is a powerful opportunity to strengthen the resolve of good governance along with organizational discussions. When the government and employees work shoulder to shoulder, only then the path of development is paved and the governance system becomes stronger. He said that in the last two years, the government has taken many important decisions in the interest of employees. By improving the transfer policy, promotion process and workplace arrangements, the administration has been made more transparent, smooth and employee-friendly. The formation of the Good Governance and Convergence Department has further strengthened the public trust-based governance system. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that special attention has been given to the timely payment of pension, gratuity and other retirement benefits, so that employees do not face any kind of inconvenience at the time of retirement. By establishing the Chhattisgarh Pension Fund and passing the Pension Fund Bill in the Legislative Assembly, the state has also provided a strong legislative basis in this direction. He said that while the efficiency of employees has been strengthened through e-office, online services and technical innovations, they are being prepared according to the changing times through training and capacity development programs. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in natural resources. At one time Naxalism was a big challenge for the state, but our security forces have faced it firmly with unique courage and valor. Saluting the bravery of the security forces from the stage, he said that a better and humane rehabilitation policy has been implemented for the Naxals who surrender. In accordance with the resolution of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the goal of complete eradication of Naxalism from the country by March 31, 2026, has been set. Peace is being rapidly established in the Bastar region and basic facilities like electricity, water and roads are being provided to remote forest areas through the ‘Niyad Nella Naar’ scheme. In line with the national goal of Developed India 2047, the state government has also prepared ‘Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision 2047’ and given a new direction and speed to the development of the state. On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Labor Welfare Board Shri Yogesh Dutt Mishra, All India President of National State Employees Union Shri Gaurav Kumar Soni, General Secretary Shri Rajendra Kumar Srivastava, President of State Employees Union Chhattisgarh Shri Arun Tiwari, State General Secretary Shri Ashwani Chelak and a large number of employees and officers were present.
