Chhattisgarh’s tableau received national media appreciation at the preview held at the National Stadium.

Raipur | Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage and the Ramnami community will be featured at Bharat Parv 2025, held at the Red Fort in Delhi on Republic Day. Chhattisgarh’s tableau is based on the Indian government’s theme, ‘Golden India: Heritage and Development’. The tableau showcases the state’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.

Today, at the press preview held at the National Stadium in Delhi, Chhattisgarh’s tableau received praise from the national media. The tableau highlights the deep connection between life, nature, and spirituality in Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage. It presents the state’s unique cultural identity, showcasing Chhattisgarh’s folk life, customs, and traditions.

The front of the tableau depicts a man and a woman representing the Ramnami community, who worship the formless Ram. The words ‘Ram-Ram’ are inscribed on their bodies and clothes. They are shown reciting the Ramcharitmanas. Nearby, ghungroos (small bells) used for devotional songs are displayed. The middle section showcases the attire, jewelry, artwork, and art traditions of tribal culture. This section prominently features the trumpet instrument and the Sal tree, which hold significant places in Bastar’s folk life. The back of the tableau features a peacock, symbolizing the beauty and vibrancy of folk life. The tableau deeply highlights Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage and its nature-connected spirituality.
