Raipur. On the occasion of World Decay Day, the program was organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. In which Health Secretary from all the states of India, Mission Director of National Health Mission, State Tuberculosis Officer, Officers of various Ministries, State Advisor and Advisor of World Health Organization attended. The program was chaired by Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers J.K. P. Nadda did it.
In the year 2023, TB -free Gram Panchayat was initiated by the Government of India Government of Health and Family Welfare under TB Open India Campaign. On the basis of the prescribed indicators, gram panchayats are being declared TB free by evaluating them. In the beginning year of the campaign, 2260 gram panchayats of Chhattisgarh were declared TB free. Whereas in the year 2024, the number of TB free gram panchayats increased to 4102. For this, the state of Chhattisgarh got the first place in the category that got the highest ratio of TB -free gram panchayats in big states with more than 50 lakh population. The award was made by Union Minister Nadda, Director of Chhattisgarh National Health Mission, Vijay Dayaram K.K. Took the award.
Union Health Minister Nadda appreciated the work being done in the state of Chhattisgarh under TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and said that Chhattisgarh state is doing remarkable work towards TB -free gram panchayat.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai launched a 100 -day identity and treatment campaign in the entire state from 7 December 2024 under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai had appealed to industries, corporates, non -government organizations and common people to come forward for their participation for the cooperation of TB patients. After the appeal, the number of darling friends increased to 13422. So far, 26039 TB patients are being provided additional assistance by providing nutritious food by these duties.
On this occasion, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal expressed happiness over the state of Chhattisgarh for his excellent work by the Government of India and congratulated all the working officers and employees. Health Secretary Amit Kataria has listed all the suspicious patients discovered under the 100-day campaign and asked to complete X-rays and investigation on the basis of available resources. Along with registering TB patients found in the investigation, they have been given the benefit of the Nutrition Scheme and they have also asked them to provide additional assistance by the Divar Mitra.
