Rampur Farmer Kirtam Ram Patel Thanks Government for Smooth Arrangements

Raipur, November 27, 2025/ The ongoing paddy procurement festival across the state has brought a message of relief, transparency, and ease for farmers. Kirtam Ram Patel, a farmer and village Patel from Rampur Gram Panchayat in Surguja district, expressed satisfaction with the arrangements at the procurement centers, stating that this year’s paddy procurement process is extremely simple, organized, and in the interest of farmers.

Farmer Shri Kirtam Ram Patel informed that he is selling a total of 187 quintals of paddy this season. Out of this, he has already sold 80 quintals of paddy through tokens, while he will sell the remaining 107 quintals of paddy upon issuance of the next token. He mentioned that the token system has reduced crowds at procurement centers and provides farmers with the convenience of selling paddy at scheduled times.

He added that adequate availability of gunny bags at the center, cooperation from staff, accurate weighing, and transparent functioning are further strengthening farmers’ trust.

Farmer Shri Patel stated that compared to the past, the procurement system this time is very smooth and transparent. There are no irregularities. The decision by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai to fix the support price of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal has brought happiness to the farmers’ faces.

He informed that due to better arrangements, farmers are not only getting the right price but also saving both time and labor.

Food department officials stated that to make this year’s paddy procurement completely transparent, token distribution, electronic weighing, quality testing, gunny bag management, and payment systems have been further strengthened.

This farmer’s satisfaction is proof that the paddy procurement festival, operated under the Chief Minister’s direction, is succeeding in benefiting farmers and ensuring a seamless system.
